Israeli shelling kills 1 in southern Lebanon despite ceasefire extension

Israeli artillery shelling in southern Lebanon resulted in one death and one injury, occurring despite the extension of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel. Israeli warplanes also conducted strikes on multiple areas, issuing evacuation warnings for nine southern villages and towns. The US announced a 45-day extension of the ceasefire, following talks in Washington.
