Ceasefire holds: Israel and Lebanon buy more time with 45-day extension

Israel and Lebanon have agreed to a 45-day extension of a ceasefire declared by US President Donald Trump on April 16. The talks, held in Washington, were described as ‘highly productive’ and will reconvene on June 2nd and 3rd. This ceasefire is ongoing alongside the conflict with Iran, primarily focused on southern Lebanon.
