US arrests Iraqi militia chief who plotted 18 revenge attacks after Iran war

A senior Iran-backed Iraqi militia commander has been arrested in the United States on charges of plotting retaliatory attacks against Jewish and American targets, including a New York synagogue. The attacks were allegedly intended as retribution for the war against Iran and could occur in Europe and Canada. He also sought to launch attacks in New York and Los Angeles.
