The EuroAtlantis’s autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) ‘GreyShark’ has raised interest due to its potential for mine detection in the Strait of Hormuz. NATO member states are paying close attention to the AUV’s capabilities, particularly its potential for use in Iranian mine detection operations. The AUV’s ability to operate in swarms could significantly reduce the burden on existing manned naval forces.
