Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend the ceasefire declared by US President Trump by 45 days. Both sides are engaged in direct talks in Washington, D.C., with a further round scheduled for June 2-3. Despite the ceasefire extensions, fighting continues in southern Lebanon.
