In response to rising oil prices and supply chain instability due to the Middle East conflict, citizens of Gwangju are launching a 'plastic-free traditional market' project to reduce the use of plastic bags in traditional markets. The 'boomerang eco-bag' project aims to reduce plastic use by providing eco-bags to market visitors through citizen donations and promoting the return of bags to designated collection points. This initiative is expected to contribute to sustainable consumption culture.
