The ongoing military conflict in the Middle East has significantly impacted the performance of airports in the region. From March to April 2026, nine major airports operated at only 53% of their schedule, resulting in up to $1 billion in revenue loss and disruption of 27 million passengers and 620,000 tonnes of cargo. This disruption has widespread consequences for the global aviation network.
