Following a US-China summit, agreements were reached on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's nuclear weapons prohibition, however, China maintained a cautious stance and differed from the US in its statements. This is interpreted as China seeking to preserve its strategic interests in the Middle East after the war and ensuring a favorable order for itself with the US. The future trajectory of the Iran conflict and the state of US-China relations are of significant interest.
