U.S. intelligence indicates that Iran has retained most of its missile capabilities, particularly posing a threat to U.S. military ships and tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. Washington is concerned that Iran has regained access to 30 of 33 missile sites and possesses 70% of its mobile launchers and missile stockpile. Replenishing these arsenals could take years due to U.S. expended munitions.
