The United States and China’s presidents agreed on the non-militarization of the Strait of Hormuz and the prohibition of Iran from possessing nuclear weapons. During the summit, an agreement was reached on the opening of the Strait of Hormuz for the free flow of energy, and economic cooperation was strengthened. Both countries also acknowledged the need for China to increase its purchases of US agricultural products.
