The US Department of Defense is pursuing a plan to quickly secure 10,000 low-cost cruise missiles over the next three years. This is to address concerns about ammunition stockpiles due to the war with Iran, aiming to supplement existing high-end weapon systems and expand America’s strike capabilities. The Pentagon is also expanding cooperation with startups and venture capital-based defense companies to expedite weapons production.
