Amidst the Middle East conflict, the US government is accelerating regulatory easing for AI and telemedicine to leverage new medical technologies. Specifically, the delivery of medical supplies to rare disease patients via telemedicine is being actively promoted, and further deregulation is expected as telemedicine systems are formalized. The Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Defense are collaborating to minimize medical damage caused by the Middle East conflict.
