A Korean-managed tanker was reported to have passed through the Strait of Hormuz, transporting 2 million barrels of crude oil. Sinokor Merchant Marine denied ownership and control of the vessel, but efforts continue globally to maintain the flow of Middle Eastern crude oil. Twenty-six Korean ships are currently entangled in the Strait of Hormuz, and the government is preparing an emergency support package.
