Israel’s ‘Iron Dome’ air defense system demonstrated nearly 99% effectiveness against rockets from Hamas and Hezbollah, intercepting the majority of missiles launched from Iran. Rafael Chairman Yuval Steinitz reported that approximately 40,000 rockets were fired by Hamas and Hezbollah since the October 2023 attack, with most intercepted. Iran launched around 1,500 ballistic missiles, and only a few dozen were not intercepted.
