Gharibabadi: Strait of Hormuz is Not Common Property of Extra-Regional Powers

Iran asserted that the Strait of Hormuz is not a common property of extra-regional powers, warning of an immediate military response if the US operates with French and British warships in the strait. Iran criticized the deployment of French and British warships as a militarization of a vital waterway and a cover for the root of insecurity in the region. Iran stated it will not allow any country to interfere in matters of security and will maintain sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.
