Gov't to exempt tariffs on extra shipping costs for imports rerouted due to Hormuz closure

The government will exempt additional shipping costs from tariffs on imports rerouted due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. This aims to ease supply chain disruptions caused by the rising shipping costs since March. Eligible shipments include vessels using alternative routes, emergency air cargo, and ships stranded in the strait due to the conflict.
