Seafarers recount weeks stranded on Strait of Hormuz: ‘We could see the missiles’

A ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz was stranded due to Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s missile warning, and spent 7 weeks observing missiles, naval vessels, and aircraft. Over 2,000 ships are currently stranded with more than 20,000 seafarers due to the US-Iran conflict, according to the International Maritime Organization. Iran allows passage with fees, but the US has warned of sanctions for any payments to Iran.
