A large oil tanker, the ‘Odessa,’ which successfully navigated the Strait of Hormuz despite being blocked due to the Iran-Russia conflict, arrived at Daesan Port today. The tanker is carrying 1 million barrels of oil, half of South Korea’s daily oil consumption, and will be moored at a floating terminal to unload the oil via pipelines. This has heightened concerns about oil supply disruptions and the possibility of prolonged instability.
