The United States will propose a draft resolution to the Security Council to defend freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. It was prepared in cooperation with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Rubio stated that a quarter of the world's oil passes through the Strait of Hormuz and that Iran's actions are unacceptable.
