China’s FM holds talks with Abbas Araghchi of Iran amid Strait of Hormuz crisis

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Iranian diplomat Abbas Araghchi held talks in Beijing amid the Strait of Hormuz crisis. Following the US blockade of Iranian ports to force Tehran to lift its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, the two countries discussed cooperation. The talks occurred in the wake of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s announcement of the end of major US military operations against Iran.
