A recent survey by the German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) indicates that escalating tensions in the Middle East are dampening German companies' overseas export outlook. Nearly a third of respondents believe global supply chains are fragile and expect economic conditions to worsen in relevant markets. German exports are now forecast to stagnate this year, revising a previous 1% growth prediction.
