US mission to reopen Strait of Hormuz is temporary, and ceasefire in the Iran war remains, Pentagon says

The U.S. stated that its mission to protect the Strait of Hormuz is temporary and predicted continued deadlock in the war with Iran. Iran warned that it may not stop its attacks and that the situation could escalate. Currently, ships from 87 countries are waiting to transit the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf.
